Goldbaby have released 8R8, available for $29.00.
Sounds from the 8Raw8, a lovely analog drum expander, handmade in France, that recreates the iconic analog drum voices of the legendary TR-808.
Why make another 808 pack? Goldbaby have had three vintage TR-808s in their studio, along with a few analog and digital clones. Goldbaby can honestly say that the 8Raw8 is the nicest-sounding of all of them, including the OG vintage ones.
Another reason Goldbabycreated this pack was to utilise the 8Raw8 kick drum tune modification. This pack has a massive selection of multi-sampled chromatic kicks you play across the keyboard. Congas and toms also get the chromatic treatment!
Goldbaby didn’t stop there. Not only did they capture the 8Raw8’s unprocessed sound, but they also recorded it through tasty hardware. Goldbaby used the MPC60, Fat Bustard II valve mixer, Silver Bullet Mk2, SPL Transient Designer, EL Fatso, EZ1073 EQ and Pre (Neve), AnalogHeat+FX, various guitar pedals (Plasma, Chroma, FatRat, Prunes & Custard), Cassette Tape Echo, and more.
This pack is like an 808 on steroids!
