Noisebud have updated Peach, available via Patreon.
What’s new in version 1.6:
- Added channel selection (L/R/M/S) to SCF (Sidechain Filter)
- Added channel selection (L/R/M/S) to Output Filter
- Added oversampling (2×/4×) for both Upper and Lower Clippers
- Added Curve control to shape transitions between Above and Below
- Added Mute buttons for Above and Below
- Updated GUI to support new features
- Updated manual
- Internal polish and tweaks
Peach isn’t a limiter, isn’t a compressor and isn’t an expander – it can act like any of them.
You split the signal at a threshold and set different volumes for what’s above and below. That’s pretty much it. Super simple. Super powerful.
You also get two separate clippers (one for the quiet parts, one for the loud) and a lookahead that keeps everything from falling apart.
Features include:
- Separate gain for signal above/below threshold
- One clipper for each range—low and high
- Lookahead to avoid distortion
- Acts like a limiter, compressor, or expander depending on settings
Peach is available to PC and Mac users (VST3 and AU).
