This sample pack boasts a wide range of huge-sounding, rock drum loops, spanning tempos from 85 BPM all the way up to 170 BPM, ensuring you’ve got both steady and fast-paced options at your fingertips that make them perfect for rock and indie productions.
Matt, an accomplished drummer and engineer, has worked with renowned artists and labels including Amy Winehouse, Pete Townshend, Mute Records, Universal, and Sony BMG, so you can rest assured you’re getting the highest-quality, most professional-sounding samples. These samples were recorded at the renowned Ford Lane Studios in Sussex, in the studio’s larger live room, for a more spacious sound.
Inside, you’ll find over 170 live drum loops showcasing two different snare options, multiple playing styles, and rhythmic patterns. There are funkier grooves, more afro-rock-inspired ones, mellow takes, and hard rock beats. You’ll also get a couple of drum fills for seamless transitions. This collection is simply perfect for anyone looking for that timeless rock feel.
The kit includes Yamaha and DW drums, Zildjian K and A Custom cymbals, captured using a blend of modern and vintage microphones, such as Coles 4038 ribbon mics. Preamps include Neve 1073s, paired with Amek and SSL G series EQs, and the drums were mixed using Zulu passive tape compression. While these drums come with a tasteful amount of saturation and compression, there’s plenty of room to process them further to suit your production needs.
