The Sci-Fi Collection provides a rich palette of ambiences, drones, textures, swooshes, wooshes, impacts, glitches, and sequences. It bundles five distinct libraries, each contributing unique sonic characteristics to help you shape your sound:
Designed Sci-Fi
This core library features a vast array of cinematic sci-fi sound effects, including alien textures, space city ambiences, sounds of deserted crystalline caverns, vast hives of digital insects, distressed metal impacts, abstract user interface sounds, and transitions. Created using modular synth equipment (such as Mutable Instruments, Intellijel, Doepfer, Erica Synths, Make Noise, Arturia, Expert Sleepers, 2hp, Ladik) recorded into an Emu E5000Ultra Sampler and then digitally processed, these sounds possess a “real depth and weight”. Categories include 104 Alien Textures, 46 Harmonic Textures, 30 Simple Textures, 50 Ambient Effects, 108 Chaotic Effects, 93 Nano Effects, 38 Organic Effects, and 77 Transition Effects, totaling 90 minutes.
Designed Circuits
This intriguing pack captures the essence of electric circuits, transforming them into new sounds. It delivers electromagnetic glitches, ambiences, hums, and interference, recorded with a LOM Elektrosluch 3+ and designed with various FX tools. A user review highlights its “eerie, evolving soundscapes” that can evoke sci-fi atmospheres or even suggest “proof that ghosts wander our world”. The library includes 58 Ambiences, 17 Glitches, 24 Hums, 52 SFX, 44 Harmonics, 29 Interferences, 38 Noise Bursts, and 10 Source Recordings, totaling 46 minutes. It was created in collaboration with sound designer Will Organ.
Designed Atmospheres
Craft expansive sci-fi soundscapes with these ambiences, drones, pads, and textures. These sounds, ranging from heavily designed to basic elements, were created using modular synths and effects (Rossum Electro-Music, Qu-Bit, Make Noise, Mutable Instruments) and digitally processed. The collection comprises 35 Harmonics, 10 Streams, 23 Subs, and 14 Winds, with a total duration of 136 minutes.
Designed Glitch Scenes
Inject tension and digital decay into your projects with these cinematic sci-fi sound effect sequences. Similar to Designed Atmospheres, these sounds are generated with modular synths and effects (Rossum Electro-Music, Qu-Bit, Make Noise, Mutable Instruments) and processed digitally. It contains 8 Harmonics, 4 Interferences, 5 Malfunctions, 6 Organics, and 7 Static Clicks, amounting to 21 minutes of audio.
Designed Statics
Explore a range of cinematic static sound effect sequences, frequencies, interferences, engines, electric distortions, and glitches. These sounds, also created with modular synths and effects and digital processing, provide nuanced sonic textures. The library includes 26 Frequencies, 14 Engines, and 13 Hums, with a total runtime of 32 minutes.
