2B Played Music Release BandShaper 2

2B Played Music have released BandShaper 2, available at the intro price of €19.00, increasing to €45.00 after the promotion. You can also rent-to-own.

BandShaper 2 is a multiband spectral shaper and enhancer for the modern producer, built for mixing, mastering, and creative sound design. With three fully independent bands, real-time visual feedback, flexible filter types, per-band stereo/mid/side control, and an advanced dual-mode saturation engine, BandShaper 2 puts precision tonal shaping, width, and warmth at your fingertips.

BandShaper 2 divides the spectrum into three precision bands, each with two optimized frequency ranges, per-band stereo/Mid/Side modes, and powerful shaping strength. Instantly enable or disable any band by clicking its label, and use the strength knob to dial in subtle enhancement or dramatic shaping. Each band offers four filter types (Pitch, Classic, Single, Trimmed) for everything from tight isolation to smooth, musical curves.

This isn’t simple EQ – it’s dynamic enhancement tailored to highlight the musical energy in each register, from tight low-end punch to airy high-frequency presence.

At the heart of BandShaper 2 is a fully interactive visual display featuring three draggable nodes – one for each band. As you adjust the controls, each node moves horizontally to reflect the band’s frequency focus and vertically to indicate the current strength or intensity. This design doesn’t simply show traditional boost or cut curves; instead, it provides immediate, intuitive feedback on how each band is shaping your sound. Every change you make is instantly visible, giving you direct visual insight into your spectral adjustments as you work.

Each band can be switched between Stereo, Mid, and Side processing, giving you surgical control over the width and placement of your sound. Widen highs, tighten bass, or refine the center – all independently and with a single click.

Enrich your sound with BandShaper 2’s powerful analog-style saturation. You can choose between Tube mode for warmth and glue, or Retro mode for vintage grit and edge. By adjusting the Drive, Tone, and Mix controls, you can dial in the perfect amount of parallel saturation on any signal – ranging from subtle warmth to bold, characterful distortion.

Work with precision in any register. Every band offers two selectable frequency ranges, so you can target exactly the right spot in your mix or master. Whether you want to tighten up the sub-bass, enhance the presence of a vocal, or open up the air in your highs, these dual ranges give you the flexibility to address each frequency area with surgical accuracy and musical intent.

Keep your output clean and controlled, no matter how hard you push the bands or saturation. The transparent limiter protects against digital clipping, while up to 16x oversampling delivers ultra-detailed sound, even at extreme settings.

  • Three independent bands with push-pull spectral shaping
