At the heart of MELTONE is GILLA ARP, a generative engine based on harmonic particle layering. Rather than looping pre-programmed patterns, it responds in real time to chord input, generating shimmering textures made of micro-notes that evolve organically.

MELTONE features two independent oscillators with separate octave ranges and waveform options including sine, triangle, saw, square and noise. The mixer section lets you blend the two sources and control their stereo width for either a wide or tight sound.
The analog-style filter includes controls for cutoff, resonance, velocity response, LFO modulation and key tracking. Two LFOs offer flexible waveform choices with parameters for speed, smoothing and delay for detailed modulation control.
Pitch modulation is controlled through LFOs, envelopes, key tracking and the pitch wheel.
A special five-stage unstable pitch modulator adds subtle randomness that gives the sound a more organic and expressive character.
Three separate ADSR envelopes control AMP, FILTER and PITCH. Each one features a clean curve-based interface for intuitive visual editing.
The rear panel, accessible by clicking the “Advanced” button, offers additional tools for deeper sound shaping.
GILLA ARP is a generative engine built on a concept called Harmonic Particle Layering.
It reacts to the chords you play and produces a stream of harmonically aligned notes that form shifting musical textures.
Each trigger generates a different result, but the output always stays musically coherent and in tune with the underlying harmony.

MELTONE supports MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression), letting you shape pitch on a per-note basis for glides, vibrato, and expressive bends.
