Real to Reel SDX is a drum sample library for Superior Drummer 3, recorded by Kevin Killen at Real World Studios, known for housing iconic artists.
The library features eight complete drum kits, each designed for specific sounds and roles, offering a wide sonic range.
Three distinct rooms at Real World Studios – the Big Room, Wood Room, and Wood Booth – provide diverse natural ambiences and contrasting flavors for the drum recordings.
All drum recordings were channeled through a classic Studer A820 analog tape machine, adding vintage warmth and tape saturation to the sounds.
The SDX includes an extensive collection of MIDI grooves and fills tailored for the kits, along with mix-ready presets crafted by Kevin Killen.
Kevin Killen, a multi-Grammy-winning producer/engineer/mixer, chose Real World Studios for its unique recording environment and collaborative atmosphere.
The library offers a blend of old and new recording techniques, aiming to transcend genres and provide a platform for uninhibited musical expression.
