Michael Macura Releases Sqsl Nashville

Michal Macura has released sqsl Nashville, available for $12.99.

sqsl Nashville is a MIDI controller/tool for exploring harmonies, modes, and chord progressions within heptatonic scales.

  • Scale Definition:
    • Choose from five scale patterns
    • Select one of seven modes (pattern rotation)
    • Set the root note
  • Chord Shape/Voicing:
    • Four editable chord shapes
    • Voicing defined by degree intervals (not semitones intervals), with the option to shift voices one octave up or down
  • Play and Loop:
    • Performance pads spanning four octaves
    • Looper for recording and replaying pad interactions
  • Note: The looper records only pad interactions—scale settings and chord voicings are excluded—allowing users to create simple progressions and modify scales or chord shapes on the fly.

Additional features include:

  • Adjustable loop playback rate
  • Automatic loop evolution (per loop cycle)
  • Ability to target multiple MIDI channels (in rotating or random order)
  • Optional velocity randomization
  • Optional note start/end delay (0–1s)
