Alchemia is a new Kontakt Player sample library from Song Athletics and BORO, designed for sonic transmutation by transforming fluid textures, fractured tones, and spectral traces.
The library is built upon recordings of extended string, wind, and vocal techniques, modular synthesis, and esoteric sound objects, all reshaped through bespoke processing chains.
These raw materials were captured at Hotel2Tango in Montreal using vintage equipment and then further processed with degraded tape loops, analog circuits, and modular systems to achieve a liminal, volatile state.
Alchemia aims to dissolve the familiar, extract essence, and coax sounds toward new, elemental forms that flicker at the threshold of stability.
The instrument features an intuitive single-page interface for Kontakt Player, with a central animated macro allowing fluid movement between raw and transmuted sound states.
The library is NKS Compatible and requires approximately 27.5 GB of uncompressed space, offering a unique sonic palette born from experimental improvisation and embodied performance.
Alchemia requires a free or full version of Kontakt 8 or later.
