Sundog Song Studio is a MIDI chord and melody creation tool designed to overcome writer’s block and streamline the songwriting process.

The software allows users to easily experiment with new scales, harmonies, and melodies, enabling the rapid creation of chord progressions, melodies, basslines, and arpeggios across various musical styles.

Praised by the press and users alike, Sundog is highlighted for its intuitive user interface, fast workflow, and ability to produce appealing results quickly, making it a valuable tool for both beginner and seasoned music producers.

Sundog addresses common songwriting pain points such as difficulty finding good chord progressions, repetitive note entry, and reliance on familiar keys and scales, by providing a system that ensures melodic input always fits the chosen chords.

The software integrates seamlessly with major DAWs via MIDI output and can also function independently with its own factory soundset and MIDI file export capabilities.

Users begin by selecting a scale and root note, then utilize a special chords view to generate harmonically fitting progressions, which then automatically update any created melodies.

Sundog Song Studio offers extensive features including over 300 scales, a chord progression search engine, pattern rhythm searching, and compatibility with Windows and macOS, with a demo available for trial.

Sundog Sung Studio 4 is available to PC and Mac users.
