Soundpaint Release A2600 UDS – For Soundpaint

Soundpaint have released A2600 UDS, available for $69.00.

The A2600 UDS (Ultra-Deep Sampled) by Soundpaint is a meticulously crafted virtual instrument that captures the essence of the legendary 1970s ARP 2600 synthesizer.

This instrument is described as ‘analog in every way’ and features an extensive collection of sounds derived from two pristine vintage ARP 2600 units, known as Tonus and Blue Marvin.

Soundpaint’s approach involved three months of obsessive detail in sampling, resulting in a far deeper capture than typical sample libraries, going beyond the 21,000 PCM samples.

Utilizing their proprietary CAF™ (Capture Analog Filter) technology, Soundpaint was able to replicate the unique filter behaviors and sonic characteristics of the original hardware.

The A2600 UDS offers a vast library of sounds categorized into Oscillators, Basses, Drums, Leads, Pads, Plucks, and more, with programs organized into different categories like Arps, Basses, Brass, Drums, Experimental, Keys, Leads, Noises, Oscillators, Pads, Plucks, Stars, and Strings.

The product specifications highlight 130 “Parts” and 190 programs (with 13 additional hidden gems), totaling 63.58 GB of WAV stereo 48 kHz / 24-bit samples.

Compatible with Soundpaint version 4.3.0 or higher on Windows and Mac, it supports various plugin formats including Stand-alone, VST, VST3, AU, and AAX, and is optimized for SSDs and DAWs.
