AIR Tape Double Track is a plugin that faithfully recreates the classic 1960s Automatic Double Tracking (ADT) technique, offering the sonic character of vintage tape effects with modern production flexibility.
It allows users to achieve the illusion of double-tracked performances by utilizing tape delay, varispeed, and modulation, enhancing vocals, instruments, and synths with subtle pitch variations and natural movement for a richer sound.
The plugin features expanded modulation options with sine, triangle, or random shapes, along with a Varispeed function to alter pitch, speed, and visualize delay, emulating vintage tape-stretching techniques.
Users have independent control over source and double-tracked channels, including pan, drive, mute, phase, and level, and can manage the low end with dedicated Bass Mono and Solo Bass modes for balanced mixes.
