The Dangerous Music CONVERT-AD+ is a plugin developed in collaboration with Dangerous Music Digital®, Studio DMI, and Acustica Audio, faithfully modeling the acclaimed high-headroom hardware converter to replicate its distinctive sonic signature, dynamic behavior, and tone-shaping capabilities.
Key features include X-FORMER II Hammond transformers for analog richness, GAIN FRACTURING for controlled digital clipping past 0 dBFS, EMPHASIS for analog-style warmth and presence, and CLIP GUARD® to drive levels without false clipping alerts.
The plugin offers hardware-accurate CUSTOM METERING with zoom views, DUAL SOURCE INPUT for A/B testing, AUTO SAMPLE RATE display, CALIBRATION options, and the ability to bypass wordclock for creative micro-jitter textures.
