Plughugger have released B1Tpolarity, available at the intro price of €9.90, increasing to €19.90 after the promotion. The offer ends December 14th.
B1Tpolarity is a soundset for Arturia Pigments built on the raw and chaotic character of the SOMA Rumble of Ancient Times (ROAT) synthesizer – a four-oscillator digital lo-fi noise box created to explore unpredictable sonic territories, based on the sound of old computers and game consoles from the 80s and 90s.
At the heart of B1Tpolarity lies the unique character of the ROAT: buzzing drones, digital distortion and glitchy oscillators that live on the edge between order and chaotic noise. We sampled and shaped these unpredictable tones, then sculpted them further inside Pigments to form an expansive palette of sounds. We also processed a large number of waveforms in an Akai S1000 sampler, using its unique time-stretching algorithms.
The result is a collection that ranges from dirty digital textures and haunting atmospheres, unstable pads and polysynths & keys that feels like they are falling apart. It’s equal parts abrasive and hypnotic – a collection that thrives on tension, chaos, and beauty hidden within the noise.
B1Tpolarity is not designed to be clean or polite – it’s a celebration of instability, artefacts and glitch. Perfect for producers looking for raw inspiration, cinematic edge, or a touch of sonic madness in their tracks.
