At the heart of Drifter is a central control that’s tied to many different parameters under the hood. This makes it easy to get your audio drifting and shifting in double-quick time. Dial in the Depth to control how much modulation is applied globally. Adjust the Speed to set the rate of movement. Beneath these, dedicated sliders let you fine tune exactly how much modulation is applied to each target, giving you surgical control over audio transformations.
The bottom half of the interface contains individual controls for both Natural and Creative parameter shifting: Natural emulates the subtle oscillations of analog gear. Creative shifts things up a notch, introducing bolder changes to your sound.
- Natural: Level, Pan, Pitch, and Tone (EQ). These parameters breathe organic life, adding the warmth and unpredictability of acoustic performance and analog circuitry.
- Creative: Phase (all pass filter), Shift (frequency), Shape (harmonics), and Filter (HP and LP). These open up access to more experimental territory, introducing unusual processing and evolving mutations.
