Boom Library Release SWAMPS

Boom Library have released SWAMPS, available in two versions with intro pricing that ends December 23rd.

  • Stereo version – €79.20 to €99.00
  • 3D Surround version – €223.20 to €279.00

The SWAMPS sound effects library offers high-quality, royalty-free recordings of swamp environments captured using the ORTF 3D technique for immersive 3D surround sound.

Recorded over three years in Florida, the library meticulously documents the acoustic complexity of wetlands, including frog calls, alligator behavior, insect sounds, and water textures.

Field recordist Matt Mikkelsen focused on capturing natural wildlife behavior in its authentic habitat, ensuring reliable material for post-production workflows.

The recordings utilize BOOM’s ORTF 3D system with SCHOEPS microphones and Sound Devices recorders, preserving spatial accuracy and phase integrity despite challenging environmental conditions like extreme humidity and heat.

SWAMPS provides clean, unprocessed audio files suitable for detailed sound design and realistic atmosphere building, offering a stable foundation for EQ, dynamics, and spatial manipulation.

The collection includes a wide range of sounds from close-up squelch textures to broad environmental ambiences, covering different times of day and weather conditions, with each file functioning as a self-contained environmental bed.

Optimized for immersive formats like Dolby Atmos and VR, the library’s 3D Surround technology ensures precise sound localization and height differentiation, making it an ideal resource for professionals in audio and video editing.
