Rob Jackson has released FlangerLope, available for $1.99.
FlangerLope is a slightly unusual spin (no pun intended) on a classic effect that uses a very short modulated delayed signal that mimics a sound that was originally produced by slowing down a reel-to-reel tape recorder by touching the flange of the tape reel, hence the name!
FlangerLope can produce classic flanging effects, with the option of a warmer, vintage-voiced “Analog” mode, and also adds an envelope-follower function with variable response time. Unlike some flanger plugins that have an envelope mode, FlangerLope can also combine the traditional LFO modulation and envelope modes, to create some really interesting and dynamic flanging effects. A variable Spread parameter also gives full control of the stereo width of the flange effect.
While Rob designed FlangerLope primarily for guitarists, it can add an interesting dimension to just about any audio source.
FlangerLope includes AUv3 support.
