Noisebud Release Hmmm

Noisebud have released Hmmm, available for $49.00.

Hmmm automatically tracks the dominant low-frequency peak in a mix and lets you shape the fundamental and its harmonics as one coherent system.

Instead of chasing EQ frequencies, Hmmm follows the bass itself. Fundamental, first harmonic, and second harmonic are always derived from what actually defines the weight of the mix.

You don’t guess.
You shape what matters.

Hmmm can be used both as:

  • A problem-solving tool in mastering.
  • A creative tool for shaping how the bass feels.

Small moves. High impact.

Hmmm decides how much loudness compensation is applied to the dry path. This gives you finer control over how level matching behaves when the plugin blends between processed and dry signal, especially in dynamic use cases.

Hmmm remove loudness compensation from the Delta signal.

This makes Delta much easier to use as a diagnostic tool, since you can now hear what is being processed without global level changes masking the result.

The control is the small square button next to the DELTA label.

Typical mastering use cases include:

  • Fine-tuning low end in finished mixes.
  • Solving low-frequency balance issues without broad EQ moves.
  • Shaping fundamental and harmonics together.
  • Increasing perceived loudness without pushing limiters harder.
  • Cleaning up uneven low-frequency buildup while keeping weight.
  • Situations where traditional EQ or multiband tools feel too blunt.

Hmmm is available to PC and Mac users (VST3 and AU).
