Konstantin Klem Releases Old Wood Piano – For Ableton Live

Konstantin Klem has released Old Wood Piano, available for $24.99.

The idea for this library came up while Konstantin was working on an album and looking for a hybrid instrument with an expressive, clearly audible string texture — a sound somewhere between a classic piano and a felt piano. After a long process of experimentation, this compact library was born, finding its natural place in ambient and new age music.

This library isn’t a perfectly clean piano. On the contrary, it’s full of imperfections that make it feel alive and expressive. You’ll hear the sound of strings, the movement of keys, resonances, slightly unstable velocity. In short, this hybrid library can be described in two words: warm and intimate.

Inside the Live Pack you’ll find 3 Instrument Racks with different characters: Original, Minimalist, and one with subtle pitch drift. Konstantin recommends blending the presets to achieve a more complex tone. You can also randomize the Instrument Rack settings to discover new timbres.

Some characteristics: warm, intimate, soft, indie, prepared, emotional, noisy, textured, vintage tone, multisampled.

Old Wood Piano requires Ableton Live Suite 12.2 or later.
