Laurent Colson has updated ChordPolyPad, available for $17.99.

What’s new in version 3.0:

  • Advanced random chord generator with 16 musical moods (organized by Complexity Emotional, and Atmospheric categories) featuring voice leading and context-aware harmonic progressions for naturally flowing compositions
  • New global scale system where the chord keyboard visually greys out notes outside the selected scale
  • Scale selector can now quantize the selected pad, the selected group, or all pads
  • New scale section allowing the creation of custom scales
  • Standardized scale names for improveo clarity
  • Redesigned preset selector, now supporting in-app purchase packs
  • Three new preset packs available as in-app purchases: Liminal Spaces, Clubwave, and Retro Pop. Each pack includes 6 free presets to explore
  • New option to color the entire pad
  • New option to automatically stop Audio Background when the app is inactive (15 min, 30 min, 1 h, 2 h, or never)
  • Minor bug fixes

ChordPolyPad is a MIDI chords player that allows you to create chord sets from a large internal library, from any combination of notes, or from chords generated randomly. Each set consists of 8 groups of 16 pads, or 2 groups of 64 pads.

In addition to play chords, each pad can generate customizable MIDI controls on its horizontal and vertical axis.
