Pulsar Modular have announced the forthcoming availability of P915 Medusa (no released date). P915 Medusa will be priced at $192.00 upon its release.
P915 Medusa is a parallel frequency balancer. It reinforces fixed spectral regions and blends them with the original signal, reshaping perceived weight, articulation, and density through contrast rather than removal.
Nothing is cut. Nothing is repaired.
What changes is how the spectrum is perceived as a whole.
Cohesion comes from reinforcement, not precision cuts.
Medusa is a parallel contribution engine: each band and shelf runs on its own copy of the input, then all branches are summed into a single contribution signal.
Interdependent bands create organization, depth, and motion that feel obvious in context, even when meters barely move.
Medusa is built on a fixed filter bank topology derived from verified hardware behavior.
Natural band interaction is preserved, while modern extensions introduce stereo operation, routing flexibility, and workflow-focused control.
P915 Medusa shapes balance and structure, not sound correction.
Features include:
- Additive fixed filter bank architecture
- Fourteen fixed-frequency, inductor-based filter cells
- Parallel signal path with preserved dry signal
- DELTA monitoring for contribution-only auditioning
- BLEND control for parallel integration
- Optional stereo SPLIT operation
- TIME circuit for controlled time-domain interaction
- DENSITY control for harmonic solidity
P915 Medusa will be available to PC and Mac users (VST3, AU and AAX).
