Three-Body Technology Release Future MB

Three-Body Technology have released Future MB, available at the intro price of $119.00, increasing to $199.00 after the promotion.

Future MB is the ultimate time- and frequency-domain multiband dynamic processor. It delivers comprehensive, simultaneous control over dynamics and frequency content through three powerful processing stages per band.

Revolutionary Delta Matrix technology allows you to route gain deltas between bands, reshaping dynamics with previously unimaginable freedom. Together, these unique features give you the power to mix for the future.

Future MB abandons the rigid logic of traditional crossovers. Instead of forcing you to slice up the entire spectrum just to process a specific range, it gives you the freedom to instantiate up to six independent dynamic bands exactly where the audio demands it.

Treat the bands as isolated processing zones to address local issues without touching the rest of your signal, or let them magnetically snap together to form a classic, continuous crossover network whenever you need a traditional workflow. With variable slopes ranging from a smooth, musical 6 dB/oct to a razor-sharp 48 dB/oct, you decide exactly how your bands blend or separate from the rest of the mix.

Future MB offers three phase modes: Minimum Phase, Linear Phase and Liquid Phase.

Linear Phase guarantees pure sound with zero phase distortion, while Minimum Phase provides the lowest possible latency with classic phase characteristics. Going a step further, the Liquid Phase mode eliminates the dilemma of choosing between latency and phase artifacts. By dynamically applying phase shifts only when gain actually changes, Liquid Phase delivers a pure, zero-latency signal with absolutely no pre-ringing. It means you get both the transparency of Linear Phase and the immediacy of Minimum Phase, ensuring your transients stay sharp and your mix stays clean.

Future MB places a complete dynamic processing suite inside every frequency band. It moves far beyond simple peak reduction by integrating three independent, switchable processing stages: Gate, Upward/Spike, and Compressor/Ducking. This architecture gives you total freedom to reshape the envelope of your sound from the ground up.

You can tighten tails with Gate, glue peaks with Compressor, and—crucially—breathe life into low-level detail with Upward. Featuring a precision dual-threshold design, Upward allows you to target exact dynamic ranges, letting you lift ambience without raising the noise floor or exaggerating transients. From transparent leveling to aggressive sound design, simply activate the stages you need and build exactly the dynamic behavior the track demands.

Future MB dissolves the boundary between dynamics and tone. By activating Spectral Mode, you unlock a fluid continuum where Time-Domain and Frequency-Domain processing coexist. Instead of forcing you to choose between standard compression and spectral shaping, Future MB lets you glide effortlessly between them with a single control.

In the Compressor stage, spectral processing detects and tames sharp, poking resonances without crushing the life out of the entire band. In the Upward stage, spectral processing seeks out and lifts spectral dips, filling in the sonic “holes” to reveal hidden harmonic richness. Whether you need precise resonance suppression or broadband glue, simply drag the SPEC slider to find the perfect balance—delivering a fuller, smoother sound that remains musically expressive and never harsh.

We’ve all heard that there’s no such thing as a “perfect” compressor—only the right one for the moment. Sometimes you need to shape a vocal without anyone noticing; other times, you need to crush a drum bus into submission.

Future MB ensures you never hit a wall. Each band is equipped with three distinct dynamic styles: Clean for gentle, transparent control; Glue for that classic, analog-style cohesion; and OTT for modern, aggressive compression.

But we didn’t just give you a menu—we gave you a spectrum. Future MB allows you to smoothly morph between these styles in real-time. Forget about swapping plugins or scrolling through rigid presets. Just turn the knob to blend the transparency of Clean with the warmth of Glue, or push fully into OTT territory for extreme sound design. Find the exact character your track needs, instantly.

Traditional compression is about subtraction—taking gain away to control peaks. Future MB changes the rules. Don’t just reduce energy—send it somewhere else.

Delta Matrix allows you to use the gain delta of one band to modulate any other bands—either positively or inversely. This means energy is no longer lost; it is repurposed. With simple routing, the gain changes of one band become creative fuel for the rest of the mix. This dramatically expands what’s possible in multiband dynamics, moving beyond traditional control into the realm of sonic alchemy.

Imagine the possibilities:

  • Steal the sharp snap of a kick drum’s attack and instantly use it to reinforce the warmth of its body.
  • Capture harsh vocal sibilance and turn that energy into shimmering harmonic presence.
  • Redirect excessive low-end boom to trigger mid-range clarity.
  • Is your vocal muddy instead of deep? Try compressing the mud at 300 Hz, and inversely route that reduction to boost the 100 Hz fundamental.

Future MB empowers you with highly versatile sidechain functionality. It supports both L/R and M/S modes, with adjustable stereo linking for every band. Furthermore, you can select Internal, External, or Free Mode as the sidechain source, providing the flexibility needed for even the most complex mixing scenarios.

Future MB transforms how your dynamics react with a dedicated sidechain Priority EQ for every band. By fundamentally separates the detection signal from the audio path, it solves a classic multiband dilemma: in traditional workflows, fixing a specific resonance often means narrowing the band itself. But the narrower the band, the more problems you get—massive phase warp, overly artificial sound, and a thin, disjointed mix.

With the Priority EQ, you can keep your bands broad and natural, while targeting a specific frequency for trigger. For example, you can compress the entire mid-range while aiming strictly at a sharp snare ring, or tame vocal sibilance by focusing detection solely around 8kHz. It gives you the best of both worlds: surgical triggering with broadband impact.

Future MB features an advanced  measurement-based auto-gain system. Utilizing a ITU 1770 loudness matching algorithm, it analyzes the perceived loudness of your signal in real-time.

Beyond simple static compensation, this intelligent engine actively maintains consistent levels even under the most aggressive processing scenarios. Whether you are using Gate, Compressor, Upward, or complex Time/Spectral processing across any band, the output remains balanced. This means when you bypass the plugin or tweak a band, the volume stays rock-steady. You hear exactly what your processing is doing to the tone and dynamics—unbiased, honest, and precise.
