The HoRNet 3XOver is a unique plugin that merges a DJ EQ with a three-band crossover, offering flexible audio processing for music production and live performance.
It features three core filters (low-pass, band-pass, high-pass) with adjustable cutoff frequencies and gain controls, allowing detailed manipulation of specific frequency ranges.
Users can select filter slopes of 24 dB/Octave or 48 dB/Octave and individually switch bands on or off, providing precise control over frequency roll-offs and isolation.
A key feature is its multi-output capability, providing four stereo outputs (Master and three auxiliary) that enable routing each frequency band to separate channels for individual processing.
This plugin serves various use cases, including functioning as a basic DJ EQ, a multi-output crossover for advanced routing, multiband compression, parallel processing, and creative sound design.
While compatible with DAWs supporting multi-output routing like Ableton Live and Reaper, users of hosts without this support can utilize external plugins like DDMF Metaplugin to access the full functionality.
