Softube have released Weiss DS5 Multiband Compressor, available at the intro price of $339.00, increasing to $549.00 after the promotion. The offer ends April 7th.
The Weiss DS5 Multiband Compressor is a highly requested evolution of the Weiss DS1-MK3, offering a not-possible-in-hardware multiband version with five full DS1 units, one for each band, providing exceptional control and transparency.
This advanced compressor allows users to control five powerful bands of DS1-MK3 units with a single macro, featuring optional low latency for tracking and professional presets designed by renowned engineers like Bob Katz, Philippe Weiss, Maor Appelbaum, and Jonathan Wyner.
The software meticulously recreates the famous transparency of Weiss, enabling precise control over compression across specific frequency ranges, making it ideal for mastering, mix buses, vocals, and drums.
A key feature is the ‘macro magic’ which allows users to control all five DS1 units in tandem, with advanced options like tilting macros to adjust attack times for specific frequency bands without needing to access each unit individually.
Softube’s collaboration with Weiss Engineering ensures an accurate software recreation, built on a legacy of modeling professional audio gear, resulting in a tool that harnesses the power of five DS1s with a user-friendly interface impossible in hardware.
The Weiss DS5 boasts highly transparent filter designs with minimal pre- and post-ringing artifacts, featuring phase-compensated 24 dB/octave crossover filters that can be activated in three modes: Dynamic Phase, Static Phase (for low latency), and Linear Phase.
Weiss DS5 Multiband Compressor is available as a standalone perpetual plugin, included in Flow® Mastering & Complete Suites, and supports Extended Features for modern precision and workflow.
Weiss DS5 Multiband Compressor is available to PC and Mac users (VST2, VST3, AU and AAX) and requires an iLok account.
