Soniccouture presents a vintage 1930s Leedy xylophone Kontakt instrument, sampled for its unique warmth and character, distinct from modern, potentially harsh-sounding instruments, and featuring Honduran Rosewood bars.
This sampled instrument belonged to and is signed by jazz percussionist Peter Appleyard, adding a significant piece of musical history to its sonic qualities, and includes features like close and wide mic channels, multiple mallet types, and a custom tremolo module.
The Leedy Model 660 Xylophone, produced in the early to mid-20th century, is a Kontakt Player instrument offering 24-bit/48kHz stereo sampling with extensive velocity layers and a library of presets.
