WOV is a creative effect plugin by K-Devices, designed to generate a wide spectrum of sound textures from familiar tremolo waves to glitchy stutters and complex amplitude modulation.
As part of the K-Devices Phoenix effects series, WOV pushes the boundaries of traditional effects, offering features like sequencing for intricate rhythmic gating patterns and customizable waveforms beyond standard sine or square shapes.
The plugin is structured into three main sections: Rate, Waveform, and Depth, allowing users to control the speed, envelope shape, and modulation intensity of the effect, with options for syncing to a host application or using Hz.
WOV provides creative control over stereo imaging, with the ability to preserve input stereo placement or add stereo offset, influencing the Response, Silence, and Sequencer parameters for a wider sound.
Encouraging an intuitive, ear-driven approach, WOV’s controls lack individual readouts by default, though precise values can be accessed by clicking on parameters.
WOV is available as to PC, Mac and iOS users (VST2, VST3, AU, AAX and AUv3).
