HISSandaROAR have released SD084 Wind Flute Spinner, available at the intro price of $49.00, increasing to $79.00 after the promotion.
The SD084 Wind Flute Spinner is a sound effects library featuring rotating tuned wind pipes that produce sustained drones, short whizzes, and undulating speed variations.
This library contains 12.5GB of audio as 172 x 24bit 192kHz WAV files, with a download size of 10.76GB, and is offered with a single-user license including full UCS metadata and photos.
The sound elements were created by attaching PVC pipes to an electric potter’s wheel, allowing for controlled rotation speeds up to 300rpm, inspired by the work of Nicolas Bras.
Recordings were made using Sennheiser MKH8040 and MKH8020 microphones in various configurations of pipe arrangements and performances, capturing harmonics that shift with speed variations.
