ab EQ is a groundbreaking three-dimensional equalizer designed for immersive audio, natively supporting Mono, Stereo, and Ambisonic signals up to 7th-Order Ambisonics.
It features independent 10-band equalizers for each dimensional pole (Left, Right, Front, Back, Top, Bottom), allowing for precise spatial sculpting of frequency content.
Each EQ band is highly flexible, configurable as pass, notch, bell, or shelf filters with adjustable slopes and Q values, enabling both corrective and experimental audio manipulation.
The plugin offers an innovative Cross-OS, Cross-DAW preset system for easy sharing and compatibility across different platforms and digital audio workstations.
ab EQ automatically converts Mono or Stereo sources to Ambisonics for 3D manipulation and can decode Ambisonic outputs to any speaker array, including Binaural, Surround, and Dolby Atmos.
Included is a ‘smart troubleshooting’ algorithm and a Dry/Wet spectrum visualizer, enhancing user experience and signal integrity, with an iOS version, ‘ab EQ X’, also available.
With ‘ab EQ’ you can:
- Work completely in Stereo whilst taking advantage of the psycho-acoustic characteristics sound takes when it’s being manipulated three-dimensionally.
- Blow-up a Mono/Stereo sound source to Ambisonics, and subsequently to any Surround, Atmos or Immersive format out there.
- Work natively with any Ambisonics signal (1OA through 7OA*).
