Phonec3 is an advanced synthesizer that evolves from the original Phonec, maintaining its unique character while introducing expanded features and an improved workflow inspired by the aesthetics of the video age and the concept of sonic decay.
This synthesizer is capable of producing a wide array of sounds, from vintage analog tones and lo-fi synthscapes to ethereal ambiances, minimal techno sequences, retro leads, and powerful synth basses, all within an intuitive graphical user interface designed for both practicality and creative inspiration.
Key features include dual oscillators with various interaction modes (Mix, Ring, X-wave, logic), a sub-oscillator, cascading lowpass filters with Milk & Acid options, a post highpass filter, and the distinctive ‘Melt’ function for adding instant character with pitch and amplitude fluctuations.
Phonec3 integrates an arpeggiator with dedicated Note and Modulation Sequencers, offering scale modes and pitch wheel quantization for harmonic coherence, alongside three LFOs, three modulation envelopes, and a High Frequency Oscillator (HFO) for deep modulation possibilities.
The synthesizer also boasts onboard effects like a 3-band parametric EQ, a stereo chorus, a dub-style delay, and expressive performance controls via Aftertouch and Modwheel, complemented by a robust patch management system with sub-preset saving and section-specific randomization.
