Kaizen DSP have released Choroboros, available as a public beta.
Choroboros is a free multi-engine chorus plugin designed to give you complete control over modulation.
Whether you need the warm vintage character of bucket brigade and tape delay (Red engine), a transparent wide stereo chorus for vocals (Blue engine), or a low-CPU multi-voice ensemble for stacking on bass and synths (Black engine), Choroboros provides the right tool.
Choroboros features an unprecedented live diagnostic Dev Panel to solve common mix issues like mud, phase cancellation, and clipping in real time.
Features include:
- Rate Sync – Right-click Rate for tempo-synced divisions (straight, triplet, dotted, swing).
- Type values – Double-click any value label to enter exact numbers.
- Engine persistence – Each engine remembers its own settings when you switch.
- Feedback – Built-in feedback dialog in the plugin
- Per-engine skins – Different visuals per engine—knobs, panels, HQ toggle.
Choroboros is available to PC and Mac users (VST3 and AU).
