The Double Wide is a simple stereo width control. Narrow your mix for focused mono compatibility, or widen for an expansive stereo field. Built on the same M/S engine as Warmth Engine.
Turn left to narrow. Turn right to widen. The plugin handles M/S encoding, bass protection, and smoothing automatically.
Features include:
- M/S Processing – True mid-side encoding and decoding. Not a simple pan trick. The stereo field is manipulated at the signal level for clean, phase-coherent width changes.
- Bass Mono-izing – Frequencies below 180 Hz are automatically kept centered, even when widening. Your low end stays tight and translation-safe on every playback system.
- Smoothed Automation – 50ms parameter smoothing on the width control. Automate freely without clicks, pops, or zipper noise. Smooth transitions guaranteed.
- Zero CPU Overhead – Lightweight M/S math with no oversampling, no FFT, no convolution. Use it on every track without thinking about CPU. Zero latency, zero compromise.
