Node.Audio have released Tonebank 2.0 for iPadOS users, available for $9.99. The desktop version is currently available for $59.00, (usually $79.00).
Tonebank is a note generating plugin for DAWs designed to help producers create musical parts that integrate seamlessly, drawing inspiration from traditional African music’s rhythmic and harmonic strategies.
It offers two primary modes: Accompaniment mode, functioning as an intelligent arpeggiator for basslines and textures, and Melody mode, which generates melodic phrases by mimicking language patterns.
Key features include Density and Pitch Variance controls for note generation, Rhythmic Tension to shift between on-clave and off-clave notes, and Phrase Mode for controlling melodic phrase playback.
Tonebank allows users to edit the harmonic structure via a visual Grid, control accent patterns, and mute divisions, while also syncing to the host DAW’s tempo with selectable ratios.
Tonebank 2.0 is available to PC, Mac and iPadOS users (VST3, AU, AAX, CLAP and AUv3).
