Red Rock Sound have released RRS Inspirer, available as a FREE download with an in-app purchase that unlocks full functionality. The desktop version is currently available for $19.00, (usually $99.00).
RRS Inspirer is a high-end Aural Exciter and loudness enhancer designed specifically for immersive audio environments (like Dolby Atmos) as well as standard stereo mixing.
Unlike traditional compressors that squash dynamics to gain volume, the Inspirer focuses on enhancing perceived loudness and clarity through harmonic synthesis and psychoacoustic processing.
Features include:
- Immersive Audio Support – It is optimized for “objects” and “beds” in immersive mixing. It supports 44 common channel configurations, ranging from simple Stereo up to 7.1.4 and 9.1.6 setups.
- Loudness Enhancement – It uses aural excitation to boost the presence and “air” of a track. It can increase the perceived volume of audio material regardless of its prior dynamic range or compression levels.
- ACC (Auto Clip Control) – A built-in safety feature that monitors signal peaks in real-time and suppresses them to prevent digital clipping when pushing the “Color” or “Mix” faders.
- Color Processing – The Color Fader (range -10 to +10) allows you to adjust the harmonic character of the excitation, moving from subtle enhancement to more aggressive, bold saturation
RRS Inspirer is available to PC, Mac and iOS users (VST2, VST3, AU, AAX and AUv3).
