SonicLAB Release REVNet

sonicLAB have released REVNET, available at the intro price of £49.00, increasing to £59.00 after the promotion.

There are already hundreds of reverb plugins on the market. The question is, why do you need another one?

Because sonicLAB offers a unique approach to defining control and modulation across multi-scale elements—from sound processors to MIDI event generators—delivering uncompromising sonic quality.

We are happy to introduce REVNet, a complex algorithmic reverberation and spatial sound design instrument. Rather than simply emulating traditional plates or rooms, REVNet is designed to create unique reverberations. By combining dynamic feedback topologies, stochastic modulation, and pitch-tracked harmonic resonance, REVNet operates as much as a synthesizer as it does a spatial effect.

REVNet is for uncompromising sound design. Crucially, unlike static reverb algorithms, REVNet allows you to manipulate its internal reflection network on the fly.

At its core, REVNet relies on an advanced Householder Feedback Matrix. Switch between Dual 4×4 mode to preserve your stereo image, or collapse the boundaries into Single 8×8 mode for a massive, unified stereo field. With its unique Chaos control, it randomly severs and reconnects feedback paths within the matrix based on probability, causing the reverb to fragment and rebuild itself in unpredictable ways.

sonicLAB have abandoned simple sine-wave modulation. REVNet utilizes a sprawling 18-LFO modular matrix to introduce deliberate instability directly on the level of the individual delay lines. Combined with stochastic, probability-based shapes like Gaussian, Cauchy, and Bernoulli, this generates lush movement and unpredictable acoustic drift.

REVNet actually runs two parallel 8×8 reverb cores simultaneously. The xMacro system acts as a massively resized, macro universe version of the primary core. You can seamlessly crossfade between these two realities, or flip the secondary core into Reverse read-mode to blend standard exponential decays with reversed, blooming reflection swells.

Transforms the space into an active harmonic instrument. A real-time Pitch Detector analyzes incoming audio and targets dynamic bandpass filters precisely at the upper harmonics, synthesizing sympathetic overtones within the reverb tail.

An internal nonlinear waveshaper can aggressively clip and compress the reverb tail into thick, industrial textures. To keep the massive feedback loops in check, an intelligent Leveler acts as an Automatic Gain Control, riding the volume of the wet tail to match your dry signal and creating an artificially prolonged reverb tail.

REVNet is available to PC and Mac users (VST3 and AU).
