Sapphire Drive is a transparent saturation plugin that sounds right the moment you insert it. Drop it on any track—pick a type, set the amount, and everything simply sounds better.
Six parameters. Four saturation types. That’s all there is. Sapphire Drive is built to get out of your way — load it on a channel, and it immediately adds warmth, presence, or weight depending on the type you choose. No need to overthink. It simply works.
Zero latency at 1× oversampling. Ultra-low CPU usage. Use it on individual tracks, across buses, or on the master — stack as many instances as you need without hesitation.
4 saturation types include:
- Bloom — Shimmering upper-mid sparkle. Adds presence, air, and brilliance.
- Tape I — Classic tape warmth. Gentle roll-off, smooth transients, and analog glue.
- Tape II — Tape pushed harder. Denser mids, more grit, and vintage weight.
- Thick — Raw low-mid mass. Body, density, and visceral low-end power
Sapphire Drive’s Tone control isn’t just a post-EQ added after the fact. It works within the circuit itself, shaping the harmonic character as the signal is driven. Turn it up to excite more overtones; pull it back for a warmer, darker character. The resulting tonal shift feels organic, because it’s part of the saturation, not separate from it.
When oversampling is disabled, the latency is 0 ms. When oversampling is enabled, the latency in minimum phase mode is about 0.1 ms. In linear phase mode, the latency from 2x to 16x oversampling is about 0.7 ms to 1 ms.
