THE_SMOOTHER 2 is an advanced audio smoothing tool featuring an ultra-high-definition spectral engine with 5 quality modes, designed to dynamically correct audio without the phasing issues of traditional filters.
It offers 8 adaptive bands that can suppress harsh resonances, shape tonal balance by cutting problems and boosting missing frequencies, or boost specific frequency ranges, providing detailed control over selectivity, sharpness, attack, release, and more.
A key feature is its smart transient protection, which preserves the punch of percussive elements by detecting and smoothing only the lingering resonances after a transient event.
Frequency-dependent timing ensures that corrections sound natural, with low frequencies given more time to process and high frequencies reacting instantly.
The plugin supports independent processing of Stereo or Mid/Side domains for each band, along with external sidechaining capabilities for dynamic frequency-aware ducking and unmasking.
Available quality modes range from Eco for low-latency tracking to Maximum for pristine mastering, allowing users to scale the engine to their specific workflow needs.
