Quiet Format have released TOYKEY, available at the intro price of $39.00, increasing to $69.00 after the promotion. The offer ends April 30th.
Built from a vintage toy keyboard from producer KION’s studio, TOYKEY keeps the raw charm, odd character, and pure tone of the original hardware intact.
With Pitch MPE, 4-layer sound stacking, and built-in effects, TOYKEY goes far beyond what the original instrument could ever do on its own.
It keeps the playful spirit of a toy keyboard, then stretches it into something deeper, wider, and far more expressive.
TOYKEY brings the charm of a small vintage keyboard into a form that feels more flexible, musical, and usable in real-world production.
Inspired by a dusty little 1980s toy keyboard from producer KION’s studio, it expands that original character with layering and sound-shaping controls.
TOYKEY supports Pitch MPE, allowing you to control pitch independently per note.
This means that even within a single chord, you can add subtle pitch movement to one note (vibrato), push notes up or down (bends), or create glide-like transitions per note, all separately.
When used with an MPE controller or an MPE-capable environment like Ableton Live, you can achieve more natural and expressive pitch performance even in polyphonic playing.

TOYKEY is available to PC and Mac users (VST3 and AU).
