Arturia have released Augmented PERSIA, available for $148.00.
Augmented PERSIA is a new sound library from Arturia that reinvents traditional Persian and Middle Eastern acoustic instruments using expressive sampling and modern synthesis, offering a unique sonic palette for composers, producers, and sound designers.
It features deeply-sampled traditional instruments like the Oud, Tar, Saz, Ney, Alto Kamancheh, and Shah Kaman, each meticulously recorded to capture their authentic feel and resonance.
The library provides over 200 mix-ready presets designed for contemporary composition, ranging from earthy drones and organic textures to atmospheric sequences and abstract soundscapes.
Augmented PERSIA’s hybrid engine combines detailed acoustic samples with Virtual Analog, Granular, Wavetable, and Harmonic synthesis engines, allowing users to morph effortlessly between acoustic realism and synthetic transformations.
Key features include intuitive modulation controls, MPE support for enhanced expression, a built-in arpeggiator and sequencer, and two layers per preset with customizable sound sources.
The source material was developed in partnership with Evolution Series, ensuring specialist knowledge and beautifully recorded performances of these culturally significant instruments.
Augmented PERSIA is compatible with major DAWs and can be used standalone, offering an inspiring tool for creating cinematic scores, ambient music, and experimental sound design.
