Bunker Samples have released Viola-Moto, available at the intro price of $19.00, increasing to $39.00 after the promotion. The offer ends May 15th.
Viola-Moto for the free Soundbox sampler is a collection of solo viola shorts, designed to be the engine of your music with two different kinds of short notes: a crisp and short spiccato for fast passages, and a gentle brushed articulation for slower music.
There are two things about the way that this library was sampled that makes Viola-moto stand out:
- The samples are derived from real performances, rather than sampling a single static note. This preserves the musical energy of each and every note. This also makes repeated notes sound even more realistic.
- The round robins are true up and down bow samples, so that a down-bow sample is always followed by an up-bow sample for ultimate realism.
All-in-all this is a deep sampled library, despite the low price. The spiccato samples have 5 velocity layers and 8 round robins, while the feathered articulation has 4 velocity layers and 5 round robins
Viola-moto was designed to sound good with the built in arpeggiator in Soundbox, which is not only incredibly inspiring to play with, but also makes programming rhythmic “engine” parts incredibly easy. Think of Viola-moto as an engine that will drive your music forward.
Viola-Moto requires Soundbox.
