MNTRA have released FLTRS, available at the intro price of $49.00, increasing to $79.00 after the promotion. The offer ends May 14th. There’s also a FREE version (FLTRS LE) available to download.
37 legendary analog circuits and experimental physics engines. Turn your DAW into a living, breathing synthesis engine.
The warmth of a Minimoog, the organic pluck of a Buchla, and the aggressive bite of an MS-20 do not come from the oscillator. The filter is the actual soul of the instrument.
FLTRS puts 37 of these legendary circuits directly under your hands. Whether you are processing a sterile soft synth, a drum bus, or a live vocal, FLTRS acts as a creative engine that shapes and breathes with whatever you feed it. With a built-in envelope follower and AniMod, and XYZ controls, you aren’t just automating an effect — you are performing an instrument.
Every single algorithm in FLTRS is a full-featured filter instrument on its own — deep controls under the hood, but distilled into three main XYZ macro axes so you can shape the sound immediately without getting lost in parameters. One instance on one track already transforms your audio.
But FLTRS was also designed to be stacked. Because our custom DSP is incredibly CPU-efficient, you can run multiple instances in series, weaving them between your favorite delays and reverbs — turning your DAW into a massive, modular synthesis engine.
Take a basic drum loop, run it through the warm drive of a Moog ladder, add a 3rd-party reverb, feed it into the gritty bite of a Soviet Polyvox, and finally lock the harmonics in a shimmering Spectral Freeze.
Most filter plugins fake it. They rely on static digital approximations that sound fine in the sweet spot, but shatter into harsh clipping and lifeless aliasing the moment you push them. MNTRA rebuilt the physics. FLTRS is the debut of MNTRA’s Anima Circuits technology. We modeled the actual physical properties of every resistor, capacitor, and transistor. When you sweep a Anima Circuits filter, the virtual components interact exactly like physical metal and voltage. Crank the resonance into self-oscillation. Drive the input to the absolute limit. It warms up, screams, and sings without a hint of digital harshness. Anima Circuits is also the engine behind our MNTRA originals. Doppler Chaos, Gravity Filter, and Particulae are filters with no physical ancestors — impossible physics engines that could only be built using this technology.
MNTRA didn’t just emulate the greatest filters in synthesizer history — they broke their physical limits. They gave the Juno-106 (QUASAR-106) an adjustable stereo BBD chorus. They gave the Jupiter-6 (EUROPA-6) negative resonance. They made the MS-20 (Filter 35) sweep continuously between lowpass, notch, and highpass. Authentic analog soul, upgraded with features the hardware never had.
- Acid Ladder — The squelchy, rubbery diode ladder that defined the TB-303 and launched the acid genre.
- West Coast LPG — An organic, touch-responsive Buchla-style lowpass gate featuring. four distinct vactrol types.
- Spectral Freeze — A frequency-domain tool that grabs a moment of your audio and locks it into frozen, shimmering harmonic peaks.
- Gravity Filter — A MNTRA original physics engine that opens sharply on transients and falls back based on simulated gravity.
Features include:
- 37 Circuits – Legendary analog contours, spectral processors, and physics-driven engines for reshaping real material.
- 8 Families – From clean shaping to transformer weight, resonance bloom, unstable motion, and destructive edge.
- 300 Presets – Playable starting points built to get you to a result fast and open deeper exploration.
- Low CPU Stackable – Built to chain across synths, vocals, drums, buses, and layered sound-design chains.
FLTRS and FLTRS LE are available to PC and Mac users (VST3, AU and AAX).
