The Progressive Metal ADpak for XLN Audio’s Addictive Drums 2 features a Pearl Reference Pure kit meticulously recorded by Waltteri Väyrynen, the drummer for Opeth.
This ADpak offers expressive dual kick drums, resonant toms, and dark Sabian cymbals, designed to provide articulate double kicks and dynamic tom sounds for melodic movement.
Waltteri Väyrynen, known for his work with Opeth and other prominent metal bands, brings his extensive studio and touring experience to deliver power and precision in this drum expansion.
The kit includes two distinct snares, a steel and a brass, offering versatile tonal options for both subtle passages and powerful accents, along with a carefully selected range of Sabian cymbals for a balanced top end.
Unique extras like a Pearl gong drum and various Sabian cymbals such as the Chopper and AAX China/Groove Hats Stack are included to expand sonic possibilities for progressive arrangements.
The ADpak comes with 48 mix-ready presets curated by renowned metal musicians and producers, suitable for a wide spectrum of progressive and modern metal styles.
Recorded at Soundtrade Studios in Stockholm by producer David Castillo, the ADpak captures the room’s unique character with meticulous attention to microphone selection and placement, ensuring a controlled yet dynamic sound.
