Steinberg have released Axe Machina, available for £83.00.

Axe Machina is a virtual instrument developed by Soundiron, designed to deliver raw, aggressive, and flexible tones specifically for metal music production.

It features a custom-made, seven-string Kiesel Aries guitar, sampled in standard A tuning with 22 GB of data, capturing its swamp ash body’s intense character.

The instrument offers a wide range of articulations, including single note and power chord sustains and palm mutes, available in both DI and amped versions for diverse production needs.

Created by guitarist Craig Peters, known for his work on game soundtracks and metal releases, Axe Machina provides a deep, powerful sound extending to low F tuning, praised for its realism and playability.
