What’s new in version 0.9.9.23:
- The Amorph Agent. A new Coding tab with a built-in agent that reads your DSP and UI code, parses compilation errors, and edits the patch directly. Two modes: Chat (planning and questions, no file edits) and Agent (full read-write). Back up custom patches before you let Agent mode loose on them.
- Ask AI in the Play tab. Quick prompt button, plus voice input: the feature that makes the demo. Press to talk, keep playing, and the agent compiles changes on the fly. Voice currently needs an OpenAI key.
- Bring your own key. Amorph stays free. You plug in your own API key for Gemini, OpenAI, DeepSeek, or Anthropic via the settings gear, and you only pay for what you actually use. We considered a subscription and decided against it for this stage.
- Code locking. If you spent two weeks designing a sound and you don’t want to open-source it, you can now password-lock the Cmajor DSP. Other producers can still load and play the patch — they just cannot read or copy the source. Save the password somewhere safe; if you lose it, we cannot unlock it for you.
- Hub is now Explore. Sign in with Google or email to like and rate community presets. Uploads and comments from inside the plugin are coming next.
- Cleaner top bar. Three views: Play, Code, Explore. That is it.
What’s new in version 0.99:
- Amorph MIDI: A third dedicated variant for custom arps, logic tools, and generative MIDI.
- Custom UI Engine: Prompt your entire interface using HTML/JS for visualizers and boutique controls.
- The Hub: Integrated cloud browser to preview and install community patches instantly.
- Performance: Sample-accurate MIDI timing and fixed parameter recall for all DAWs.

Amorph is a plugin that doesn’t have a fixed sound. Instead, it lets you describe any effect or instrument in plain English to an AI (like ChatGPT), which then writes the code for you. You just paste that code into AMORPH, and it works instantly.
Whether it’s a specific vintage saturation, a weird rhythmic delay, or a synth idea you’ve had for years, you can now just “prompt” it into existence.
Stop searching for the right plugin. Just describe it:
- Need a granular reverb? Amorph becomes it.
- Need a VHS distortion? Amorph becomes it.
- Need a synth that doesn’t exist yet? Amorph becomes it.
