Paul Glenn Vernon Releases Riffpad

Paul Glenn Vernon has released Riffpad, available for $5.99.

Riffpad is a thumb-first piano roll for sketching melodies fast on iPhone and iPad. Draw notes directly on the grid, nudge them into shape, loop ideas, and send them to MIDI gear or AUv3 instruments without opening a full desktop-style DAW.

Built for quick musical capture:

  • Place, move, resize, copy, paste, and delete notes with touch-first gestures
  • Keep melodies in key with scale highlighting, snap, and quantize controls
  • Loop short ideas, adjust tempo, and record simple input live
  • Use Core MIDI input/output with USB or Bluetooth MIDI devices
  • Host AUv3 instruments for on-device sound design – Export MIDI files and audio previews through the iOS share sheet
  • Import MIDI sketches when you want to keep developing an idea

Riffpad keeps your patterns local. There are no accounts, feeds, ads, tracking SDKs, or cloud sync in this version.
