What’s new in version 1.0.2:
- Fullscreen visual mode – Double-tap the animation to expand it fullscreen. Double-tap again or tap the X to exit. Renders at native resolution on all screen sizes. (Thanks Gavinski!)
- Randomize exposed as AUv3 parameter – Randomize now appears in the host parameter list. Map it to MIDI or automate it from AUM, ApeMatrix, or any AUv3 host.
- Evolve timer labels (AUv3) – Timer duration labels shortened to fit the compact iOS layout without clipping.
False Memory is a new real-time audio effect for iOS, Mac, and Windows.
Feed it any sound and watch it fall apart. A corrupted file half-recovered from a dead drive. A memory dissolving as you try to hold onto it.
The Analog/Digital slider is the core. Slide left for cassette wobble, reel-to-reel saturation, VHS tracking errors. Slide right for lo-fi aliasing, circuit-bent glitches, data-mosh block artifacts. Drift destabilizes pitch and timing. Damage controls how aggressively the signal gets torn apart.
Fog smears the frequency spectrum into clouds, with three modes: Tonal, Inharmonic, and Evolving. Ghosts let past audio bleed through, either as rhythmic echoes, residual imprints, or scattered granular fragments.
Then there’s Evolve. Pick a duration between 1 and 64 minutes. Walk away. The destruction deepens on its own. Come back to something completely different. Or hit Randomize and reroll everything instantly.
