Acustica Audio have released Cream 3, available at the intro price of €99.00, increasing to €199.00.
CREAM 3 is the new evolution of Acustica’s Cream suite – a unified British channel strip that brings preamp, EQ, and compression together in one streamlined plugin. Built around four NOVA-powered preamp families, classic British EQ designs, and vintage-inspired compression, CREAM 3 delivers warmth, harmonic depth, and rich analog character while preserving the subtle channel-to-channel variations that made classic British consoles sound so alive.
The original Cream collection captured the warmth, harmonic richness, and musical behavior of hand-built British designs from the late ’50s to early ’70s – units that shaped classic studio and broadcast sound through valve stages, discrete circuits, and unmistakable analog character.
CREAM 3 takes that heritage further by rebuilding its preamp section around four NOVA-powered preamp families, expanding the tonal range of the original suite with more detailed harmonic behavior, more natural dynamic response, and a richer interaction between gain, saturation, and source material.
Paired with a reorganized EQ workflow and vintage-inspired compression, CREAM 3 moves beyond hardware recreation and becomes a complete British channel strip for tracking, mixing, and bus processing.
Features include:
- Rare Heritage – Inspired by rare British studio hardware from the late ’50s to early ’70s.
- NOVA Preamps – Four British input families rebuilt with NOVA for richer analog character.
- Unified Strip – Preamp, EQ, and compression in one streamlined British channel strip.
- EQ Palette – Eleven British EQ models organized into four intuitive modules.
- British Dynamics – Multiple vintage dynamics flavors, from smooth glue to faster control.
- Analog Tone – Warmth, harmonic depth, and musical control across the full signal path.
