Kensuke Okumura Updates MixBrain (For MacOS) – A FREE Download

Kensuke Okumura has updated MixBrain, available as a FREE download.

What’s new in version 2.5.1:

  • Major improvements to the core processing engine
  • Refined Master / Node communication and Auto Transform behavior
  • More musical and consistent Transform macro control
  • Improved tone, dynamics, tape/media, and console-style processing
  • Improved Master QuickMix / Transform layout
  • Clear Bypass status when Transform is turned off
  • Improved Analyze scrolling and chain visibility
  • Better readability at smaller window sizes
  • Signed and notarized AU / VST3 versions for macOS

MixBrain is a macOS audio plug-in system designed to help producers, composers, and mixing engineers make faster, clearer, more musical mix decisions.

It works as a 2-part system:

  • MixBrain Node goes on individual tracks.
  • MixBrain Master goes on the master bus and coordinates the overall mix direction.

MixBrain analyzes the relationship between tracks, then helps you shape clarity, balance, density, tone, and character without replacing your own judgment.

MixBrain is not an automatic “one button mix engineer.” It is a mix decision assistant: it analyzes, suggests, balances, and transforms while keeping the producer in control.

The goal is not to replace your ears.
The goal is to help you reach better decisions faster.

MixBrain is available to PC and Mac users (VST3 and AU).
