Obsydian: Raw Expressions is a 50-preset expansion for Newfangled Audio Generate built around exposed tone, physical response, and sounds that invite performance.
The collection moves between acoustic-like instrument emulations, synthetic leads and basses, experimental gestures, and complex aural structures. Delay, reverb, chorus, and other spatial effects are used sparingly, keeping the source tone and expressive movement close to the surface.
Every preset is designed for hands-on control through MPE and standard performance gestures. It is a focused palette for composers, producers, and sound designers who want playable material that can bend, strain, fracture, and shift without disappearing into a wash of effects.
Newfangled Audio Generate 1.7.4 or later is required. An MPE controller is recommended for the full expressive range but is not required.
Raw Expressions is the third release in the Obsydian series, following Dark Energy and Motion Arps.
