Rast Sound have released Cusp, available at the intro price of €39.00, increasing to €79.00 after the promotion.
Cusp is a fast, musical transient shaper designed to shape the hit and control the tail of audio signals, offering targeted Drive and precise Stereo/Mid/Side modes.
The plugin separates the transient hit from the continuing tail, allowing independent level control for each and enabling the Drive to follow either, both, or neither.
Users can adjust the ‘Attack’ to bring forward or soften the initial hit and ‘Sustain’ to lengthen or tighten the decay, with ‘Sensitivity’ and ‘Knee’ controls refining the detection and separation.
Cusp features a ‘Drive’ section with three distinct characters – Edge, Iron, and Tape – which can be applied to the Hit, Tail, or both, or bypassed entirely while retaining the Drive amount.
The ‘Focus’ section provides real processing routes for Stereo, Mid, or Side signals, allowing for targeted shaping of the complete stereo image, the center frequencies, or the wider stereo components.
A visual ‘Shape’ display shows the detected transient and sustain lanes, offering a musical guide to how the source is being divided without complex envelope drawing.
The plugin is built for real mixing sessions, offering automatable controls, Delta monitoring to hear the difference, and honest bypass comparison, with an introductory offer available.

Cusp is available to PC and Mac users (VST3, AU and AAX).
