FrozenPlain have released Floe 2.0, a free and open-source plugin featuring a redesigned interface with LAYERS, EFFECTS, and PERFORM views, along with enhanced filters, EQ, and LFOs.
The new version introduces powerful granular synthesis, allowing any layer to transform samples into evolving textures, and a per-layer arpeggiator that syncs with the DAW for dynamic sound shaping.
Floe 2.0 also includes a randomization strip for exploring preset variations, improved sound shaping tools like stereo width controls and a modern compressor, and quality-of-life updates such as undo/redo functionality and streamlined browsers.
Alongside the plugin update, FrozenPlain has refreshed its sample library catalogue, including the free Music Box Suite Free and community packages, all updated to utilize Floe 2.0’s new granular synthesis and arpeggiator features.
Existing library owners will receive free upgrades to the 2.0 format, benefiting from enhanced tagging, improved visuals for specific suites, and seamless integration with the latest Floe plugin, with new libraries like Ambient Foundations and Cinematic Atmosphere Toolkit also available.
